Covid Booster

New bivalent COVID-19 vaccines are now being offered as booster doses. These adapted vaccines are expected to give you better protection against COVID-19, including the Omicron variant.

Covid-19 3rd Booster dose

We have commenced the administration of the 3rd Booster Vaccinations to those aged 65 & over and to those aged 12 and over and have been identified as an immunocompromised patient. You must wait a minimum 4 months after your 2nd Booster vaccination or at least 4 months from your first positive PCR or Antigen test or your date of diagnosis.

Covid-19 2nd Booster dose

We are offering the administration of 2nd Booster Vaccinations to those aged 18 or over, women who are at least 16 weeks pregnant, healthcare workers or those aged 12 and older and have been identified as an immunocompromised patient.

You can book your second booster dose if you are:

  • age 18 to 49 – wait at least 6 months since getting your last COVID-19 vaccine or COVID-19 infection

You can still book your second booster dose if you are:

  • age 50 to 64
  • pregnant (from 16 weeks)
  • a healthcare worker – bring your work ID or a letter as proof of employment
  • 12 or older with a condition that puts you at high risk of serious illness from COVID-19 – for example, diabetes, asthma or heart disease

If you are in one of these groups you can wait a shorter time of at least 4 months since getting your last COVID-19 vaccine or COVID-19 infection.

Covid-19 1st Booster dose

We are offering Booster vaccines to those aged 12 & over. You should have received your second dose at least 4 months ago to those aged 16 & over, or at least 6 months ago to those aged 12-15.

We will post regular updates to our social media pages and on our website when new groups are eligible to receive a booster vaccine in our pharmacies. Please follow us on Facebook for the latest updates.

However, appointments may reappear should someone cancel or reschedule their appointment. An email or text will be sent to confirm your booking. If you do not receive a confirmation please contact your local branch so your appointment can be confirmed.
