24 Hour Blood Pressure

Your blood pressure fluctuates over 24 hours.  24 hour blood pressure measurement (ABPM) will accurately identify if you have high blood pressure or if your blood pressure is too low (to ensure the blood pressure medication you are on is working for you).

Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring (ABPM) is when your blood pressure is measured as you move around, living your normal daily life. It is measured for up to 24 hours.

A small digital blood pressure monitor is attached to a belt around your waist and connected to a cuff around your upper arm.  It is small enough not to affect your normal daily life and you can even sleep with it on.

When you return the monitor to this pharmacy at the agreed time, we will provide a printed report that analyses the pattern of blood pressure.

Available in Ashbourne & Whitehall, Cost:  € 50.00

Free blood pressure checks & blood pressure testing are available in all pharmacies.
